About Fanelli's Smoked Salmon
Our Founder
Darren Fanelli is a lifelong fisherman from San Diego who starting smoking fish after a particularly bountiful haul from waters outside the Golden Gate Bridge. Through trial and error and with the help of friends and neighbors he perfected his recipe - then was inundated with requests for more. That's when he knew he was on to something.
Our Process
We source only wild caught, flash frozen sockeye salmon from Alaska. Our preparation involves brining in a proprietary mix of spices, infusing the fish with a unique flavor profile. Smoked with a custom blend of alder, cherry and apple wood chips, the finished product delivers a mouthwatering explosion of flavor.
Serving Suggestions
Delicious on crackers or bagels, savory in a salad or mixed with whipped cream cheese for a crowd-pleasing dip - you've found your go-to potluck pick! The options are endless. Darren's favorite is to eat it straight!
